Every chapter runs the same process. The criteria are fixed before reading opens, every application is scored against them, and we check those scores afterwards against who actually contributed, so the standard is measured rather than remembered. We do not assume any prior finance coursework, and we do not weight a resume the way a bank does.
What we are actually looking for is someone who will write a thesis they are willing to defend, and who will change their mind in front of the room when the numbers say they should. Both of those are harder than they sound and neither is on a transcript.
